Play this video

Boukman Experience is a mythical band belonging to the so called roots music movement. This music is their first carnival song, the first of many. Furthermore, if you were to choose the best all times carnival song, this one would be a serious contender and maybe a winner. This video is maybe the first Haitian carnival music video. Actually it was not originally shot as a music video but was rather as  a segment of the TV program Fashion that aired for a couple of years on Haitian national television. Only the popularity of the song brought it out of the program and it became an unforgettable hit.
