    This piece is real. I lived in cabaret during that time.Jeremy was captured during the summer of 69 month July/August. Odige was in charge of the Cabaret Police and Guillaume of the VSN. Arnold and the others Jean Baptiste Salomon the priest. I used to attend at the clinic next to the church St. Michel.

    This is an absolutely riveting history lesson of the Motherland that will surprise many of us. Who knew the Poles DNA can be traced to the inhabitants of Casale.

    C’etait vraiment emouvante cette histoire de Casale. J’avais visite Casale dans les annees 80, mais j’ai jamais eu connaissance de tout cela. Du BRAVO pour toos ceux qui ont contribues a cette realisation et j’esperee cela n’est qu’un commencemant pour Casale et son histoire. Merci

    Very moving and emotional for me. Gave me a feeling of connection to my “terre natale” and to the people who live in it no matter their skin color. I thank you for sharing with us this very important part of our history. Our richness is composed of so many different elements yet to be explored.     Très beau documentaire, et je souhaite que tous les Haïtiens puissent le voir et découvrir l’autre Haïti. Dommage qu’il n’y ait aucun gouvernement à se pencher sur ces richesses qui auraient pu être une source de revenus touristique. Décidément, Haïti, c’est la Perle des Antilles. Merci pour ce documentaire.

    C’est vraiment odieux, repugnant, et revoltant pour que les gouvernements haitiens reduisent leur propre peuple en esclavage tandis qu’il y a tant de tracteurs et de buldozers a Port Au Prince qui ne font rien et qui pourraient etre utilises pour faire en un clin d’oeil le travail routier que les haitiens, reduit en des betes de sommes sont obliges de faire eux memes et a la main

    Many thanks to the producers of this excelent piece, I lived through this ordeal , i know of the people that are mentioned, the victims were my family, i witnessed some of the events .Though this brought back painful memories, I am pleased that it is indeed very informative for those haitian brothers and sisters who will know that this important piece of haitian history went on right there in their own backyard.

    Wow!!! This is an awsome documentary I will ensure that my students in Multicultural Education course watch this segment. Also, I will make it a priority to visit Casale during my journey in Haiti.

    Carrement, je dois stipuler sans embage ou sand des apprehensions que je suis Haitien, et je ne connais meme pas toute l’histoire d’Haiti. Je n’ai jamais entendu parler de l’histoire de Casale. Un tres grand merci a tous ceux qui ont mis la main a la patte, pour la realisation de ce film. Merci pour cette information. C’etait tres bien, vous avez fait du beau boulot.

    Excellent documentaire qui redonne vie à une belle page méconnue de l’Histoire haitienne.Il est toutefois fort dommage que les auteurs du film aient cru utile et urgent de donner une coloration lourdement “ethniciste” à ce document à valeur historique et culturelle. Après tout, pour qui a voyagé à travers le pays, au moins 90 pour 100 des communes rurales d’Haiti connaissent la même situation d’abandon, d’exclusion, d’enclavement : absence de routes, d’écoles, d’électricité etc. Le sort des sympathiques habitants de Casale n’est malheureusement pas une exception; c’est même la norme pour la plupart des localités dit “En-Dehors”.

    Ma grand mere (Mme Louis Jean) etait une commercante avait reussie sa vie a Cazale l’a donne l’opportunite de construire l’une des plus belle maison de l’epoque a Cabaret sur la route Nationale. Mon grand pere tant bien avec son peau de grimmo comme l’on dit an Haiti. Cazale et Cabaret m’ont laisses de memoires inoubliable.

    je vis en france cela fait 10 ans et mon meilleur ami est polonais, souvent les gens trouvent cela bizard qu il y a une telle complicite entre nous puisque nous sommes d horizon different, si vous voulez ce dumentaire m a appris beaucoup de choses .Je suis fier d etre haitien parce qu on etait le premier peuple a proner l universalisme et notre histoire en est la preuve .one love
