Drug addiction has taken many lives, has broken many families and has caused substantial economic and productivity loss. However Haiti is more targeted as a transit platform for narcotics going to the US and the rampant local usage of illicit substances is often underestimated. APAAC is one of very few organizations working with persons suffering an addiction problem.
