In August 2009, for four weeks, a workshop brought together twenty young boys and girls aged 16 to 25 years-old. all from Martissant. They were tought techniques of taking images, sound, design and produce documentary films. They did elaborate projects of short documentary films that were then finalized and produced during the last week of the seminar. The choice of themes was free, the only constraint being that these young people would illustrate the way they see their own neighborhood.

I am the artistic director of a cultural group in New York called Granchimen, I am putting together a Haitian film festival next year. We would love to invite the shorts and documentaries of the Martissant filmakers or any other ones living in Haiti. I would appreciate any information or contact.

Here in the USA, Haiti is all most out of the news.I would like to know what happen to the 530 million dollars raised for the the people of Haiti. This country seems to be more concerned about the weather and going opposite what Obama has to say.

Mwen pa menm ka wè apèsi de film nan. Kijan nou vle pou mwen ta bay opinyon’m sou li. Ayisyen pa janm fè yon bagay ki bon. “Si nou pa ka kriye, nou pa dwe fè grimas”. Nou pran pòz ap fè yon bèl bagay, epi se manti.

Fòk ou konnen tou ke ou bezwen yon bon òdinatè ak yon bon koneksyon entènèt pouw gade video yo nan bon kondisyon. An prensip si ou ka wè video sou Youtube ou ta sipoze ka wè sa yo tou…

I understand the concern of life every where. But I know we can’t control the world but why are we not making sure our own daughters and such or not being disrespected and lefted alone to care for babies when they are babies thier selves. What have we came to where we just dont care. We all need to help one another or we are going to be history like the dinosaurs. they came exinct and so can we nothing is forever. If we dont care for the world whats going to be lefted for our own great great grand babies to grow Im will tell you nothing unless we all change. I has nothing to do with whos president it has to do with every living sole on todays world starting with me and you. God bless everyone
