For the last few months, the various municipalities of the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area have worked to enlarge sidewalks on many streets. This has damaged many houses and fences although it has permitted better pedestrian circulation, angering some while pleasing others. This is the theme of the rap band Familia Click 2009 carnival song.
